Posted: Updated:

The boy who was shot last Thursday has been taken to Riley Children's Hospital in serious condition.

Friday, the St. Joseph County Prosecutor's office charged 29-year-old Kenny D. Lee with attempted battery and criminal recklessness. Lee is a suspect in the shooting of his 6-year-old son.

Police say the shooting happened last Thursday around 11:30pm.  Court documents describe the boy's injury as serious.  They go on to say that doctors were unsure whether his entire leg and foot could be saved.

Lee was in court on Monday, and his initial hearing date was set.  Lee will be back in court next week.  Bond was set at $60,000 Corporate surety and $6,000 cash. Lee remains in the St. Joseph County Jail.
