Film featuring the Cove and historic team store building wins Emmy

A video about a very unique part of the Cove has won an Emmy.

The award was given to a 4-minute film that shows how South Bend's first synagogue turned into the team store for the Silver Hawks.

Sons of Israel Synagogue was built in 1901. It was vacant for 20 years before being renovated in 2012 as part of Four Winds Field at Stanley Coveleski Stadium.

This past August, the building was granted national landmark status.

You can watch the film on the Silver Hawks web site here.
