Sims Oak Hills Golf Course equipment auctioned off

Posted:

The last remaining pieces of the Sims Oak Hills Golf Course were sold at public auction Saturday.  Items being auctioned off included memorabilia such as hole flags and equipment like mowers and tractors.

The City of Elkhart sold the golf course land last month for over one million dollars.  Saturday people at the auction said they were there hoping to find some good steals on equipment.  "There was a greens mower we were looking at and just a few odds and ends you never know what price things are gonna go for so you can pick up some good deals at auctions," said Steven Scott, who owns a golf course.
