Feed the Hungry helping Typhoon Haiyan survivors

Posted:

A local chapter of Feed the Hungry is helping the survivors of Typhoon Haiyan.

They're sending rice and soy meals to the hardest hit areas.

The first shipment went out Tuesday and should be there by next Friday.

Stefan Radelich is the director of Feed The Hungry. He says, "Right now we are committed to ship one million meal rations to the Philippines to be distributed through Cathedral Praise Churches through Leyte and Tacloban, which is some of the hardest hit areas."

They're looking for help in covering the shipping costs.

If you're interested in helping Feed The Hungry with their relief efforts in the Philippines, visit their web site here.

There are other ways to help those affected in the Philippines. We have a list of organizations that you can help here.
