St. Margaret feeds over 150 at annual Thanksgiving feast

St. Margaret's house held their annual Thanksgiving feast on Wednesday -- feeding over 150 guests. The traditional dinner consisted of turkey, green beans, stuffing, mash potatoes, gravy, rolls, and pie. Over 40 volunteers made the event possible by baking 14 turkeys, 12 dozen rolls, and 20 pies.

The dinner started with a prayer, and then guests went around the room and said what they were thankful for. Assistant Director Patricia Marvel said the moment was really special. Many of the guest were grateful and expressed their gratitude to the volunteers.

Those that helped with the event were all ages. Patricia Marvel says, "This place is even decorated thanks to many other volunteers. Some of them little, some of them older. They have placemats that were lovingly created by the 3rd graders at St. Joseph middle school."

The St. Margaret's house has their Thanksgiving feast every year. It feeds women and children in poverty who may not be fortunate enough to have a traditional Thanksgiving dinner.
