UPDATE: Body found in St. Joseph river in Benton Harbor

[UPDATED - 11/30/13, 8:10 pm] The Benton Harbor Department of Public Safety has identified the man found in the St. Joseph River earlier today.

34-year-old Dewayne Flower's body was found by the Michigan Underwater Diver's Club as they conducted a diving exercise. Police say the body was lodged in an underwater depression between rocks.

The diving team then called police who contacted the Berrien County Dive Team which recovered the body. An investigation at a local hospital revealed the identity of Flowers.

Flowers had last been seen by his family on November 10th, but was not reported as missing. He was listed as absconded from parole by the Michigan Department of Corrections on November 9th.

The case remains under investigation and if you have any information, call police.
