Autopsy complete on body found in St. Joe River in Benton Harbor

Police say an autopsy was completed on Monday on a body found in the St. Joseph River in Benton Harbor over the weekend.

The body of 34-year-old Dewayne Flowers was found Saturday while a diving club was holding their annual diving exercise behind the Chase Building.

According to a statement from the Benton Harbor Department of Public Safety, Flowers' body showed no injuries or signs of trauma.

Flowers' family told the department they last saw him on November 10th. He was not reported missing, but he was listed as a parole absconder by the Michigan Department of Corrections on November 9th.

The department says the case remains open and is still an active investigation.
