Students learn to reduce stress through exercise

Students in Michigan got their exercise at school Monday.

It was the second annual Ranger Wellness Day at Ross Beatty High School in Cassopolis.

Students from 7th to 12th grades went from one session to the next, learning how to reduce stress through mental and physical exercises.

"Each session that the kids go to, they are learning about different techniques they can use in their lives to make a healthier lifestyle," says teacher Brooke Brawley.

"I learned how to be creative, stuff like that, and to think outside the box," says student Eian Forrest.

Student Makayla Kirby says, "They taught us how to eat healthy and exercise daily so we can stay healthy."

Ranger Wellness Day is possible thanks to a grant from the Michigan Department of Education.
