Five arrested on robbery and burglary charges

Four adults and one teen have been arrested in connection to two home robberies in LaPorte County.

The Sheriff's Department believes the group was responsible for a home invasion in May at a home on the 5600 West block of CR-300 North and another in July at a home on the 10000 west block of CR-200 South near Westville.  In both incidents, the robbers confined the home owners.

PShawn Sobolewski, Brandon Montano, Jeremy Montano, Jonathan Surber and Bryan Parish are all facing burglary and robbery charges.  Brandon Montano and Bryan Parish are also facing Criminal Confinement charges.

Bryan Parish is 16-years-old but is identified because he is being charged as an adult.

The investigation is ongoing at this time.  Anyone with information is asked to contact the LaPorte County Sheriff's Department at 219-326-7700 ext. 2443.
