UPDATE: Man killed in LaGrange County crash identified

One man is dead after an accident that led to a truck fire on US-20 near S 600 W in LaGrange County.

Witnesses told police a dump truck was heading west on US-20 Wednesday morning when a pickup truck ran a stop sign and slammed into the dump truck.  The pickup then ran into a ditch.

The driver of the pickup, Harvey Borntrager, died at the scene.  The dump truck caught on fire as a result of the crash, but that driver was able to escape without any injuries.

Police do not believe alcohol was a factor in the crash, but do say a medical condition could have been involved.

US-20 and 600 W were closed for several hours Wednesday morning due to the crash.
