A woman is in custody, accused of shooting two men in Kosciusko County, killing one of them.

The Kosciusko County Sheriff's Department believes 42-year-old Sonya Lynn Armontrout broke into the home of Steven Carman in Pierceton Wednesday night.  When Carman returned home with another man, Joseph Glant, Armontrout attacked the men with a gun and a knife.

Glant was shot and Carman was shot and stabbed.  When police arrived, they took Glant to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.  Carman was alive when authorities arrived, but died shortly there after.

Armontrout is facing preliminary charges of murder, attempted murder, and burglary.  She is currently being held without bond in the Kosciusko County jail.
