Gold coin dropped in Salvation Army Red Kettle

An anonymous donor returns to Michiana this holiday season...dropping a gold coin in one of the Salvation Army's Red Kettles.  And even more bizarre, it happened in the same place to the same bell-ringer.  A gold coin was dropped in the bucket at Sam's Club in Mishawaka.  George Shull was manning the kettle when the donation was made.  He also received a gold coin last year at the same location.

The coin, worth $1,200, was found wrapped in a one-hundred dollar bill and a piece of paper.  The paper read, "your vision becomes clear only when you look into your heart."

The salvation army says the donation couldn't have come at a better time.  Major Tim Best said, "Thanksgiving was a week later this year, and with national agreements in some of our locations, we can't go out until then. It just compressed everything into a tight time frame. The marketing reports are showing Thanksgiving weekend, the shopping, the foot traffic was real high but spending was low."
