Last of five suspects in South Bend fatal home invasion pleads guilty

The last of five men accused of killing a South Bend woman during a home invasion in December of 2012 has pled guilty.  Gemari Cotton admitted to Felony Murder on Thursday.

Last year, Cotton along with four other men, Walter Neely, Khawana Lamar, Lee Griffin, and Nate Coley, broke into a home on the 1000 block of North Michigan Street.  When police arrived, they found two residents of the home, a woman, and two children inside.  All had been injured during the break-in.  One of the victims, Sandra Price, died from her injuries days later.

As for the other men involved: Griffin was found guilty of robbery, burglary, and felony murder; Coley pled guilty to felony murder; Neely pled guilty to murder and robbery; and Lamar pled guilty to felony murder.

Cotton is scheduled to be sentence on January 17.
