Reward issued for information on Benton Harbor murder

Posted:

The Benton Harbor Police and Public Safety are asking for the communities help in solving the murder of 34 year old Jonah Anderson.  Anderson was found shot to death on Wednesday at 766 Pavone Street.  A $1000 reward has been offered by the Benton Harbor Public Safety Department along with a matching $1000 from the local Iron Workers Union, for information leading to the arrest of the person involved in the shooting.

Deputy Director of the Benton Harbor Public Safety Department and Police Services, Daniel McGinnis says Benton Harbor will not stand for this type of violence against its innocent citizens.  "As of this moment the Benton Harbor Police Department is absolutely declaring war on guy violence," McGinnis said, "any offense that can victimize someone in this manor."

Jonah's wife, Deloris Anderson said she could not be grateful enough for people putting the reward money together to help catch the person who killed her husband.  "I was beside myself," Anderson said, "when I saw someone reach out and say we love him and we want to help you."

If anyone has information on this crime, they are asked to call the Benton Harbor police department at 269-927-8435.
