Teddy bears delivered to Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center

Posted:

The South Bend Regional Airport presented the Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center with over 350 teddy bears to give to kids in their children's hospital. The bears will be placed on a child's bed waiting for them when they come to a room. The bears are used to help take a child's mind off of being in the hospital.

Executive Director of the Saint Joseph County Airport Authority, Mike Daigle said he is very proud to be able to help out kids, especially during the holiday season. "To see what we were able to do here today," Daigle said, "and just think of what it is going to be able to do for a child, it makes you feel pretty good."

This is the second year for the Bears In The Air program. The airport raised 751 bears which were distributed at the two South Bend hospitals.
