Gas prices on the rise in time for holiday travel

If you're about to hit the road for some holiday travel, we have some bad news.

The average price of gas in South Bend has gone up about nine cents per gallon in the past week.

You'll pay about $3.28 right now.

Analysts at Gas say it's not because the gas companies are trying to pull a fast one on you during the busy travel week.

Instead, they blame crude oil prices.

"We've seen a pretty significant spike in wholesale gasoline prices and that's due largely to a pretty solid increase in crude oil," says Senior Petroleum Analyst, Gregg Laskoski.

Remember, you can always find the cheepest prices where you live by using gas buddy.
