Salvation Army still taking Christmas Donations

The Salvation Army of Saint Joseph County wants to let people know they are still able to accept donations for their Red Kettle Campaign through the middle of January, even though the kettles will no longer be out in front of stores.  They are only at 70 percent of this years campaign goal, most likely because of the bad weather and shorter time period between Thanksgiving and Christmas this year.

Congregational Life Manager at the Kroc Center, Major Timothy Best says all the money raised will help support the Salvation Army's efforts all year long.  "People are going to be in need," Best said, "people are going to need rental assistance, they are going to need food, they are going to need help throughout the year and we raise a large amount of our funding for our programs during the Christmas season."

Donations may be dropped off at the Kroc Center in South Bend, send a check in the mail, or visiting MyKroc.
