How to take care of your Christmas shopping after all the big box stores have closed

Just realize you left someone off your Christmas shopping list?  No worries, we've got you covered.  Your local drug store does have some ideas for gifts you can still pick up

At Walgreens, Christmas Eve shopper Cassandra Reames said she was, "just getting last minute gifts for my kids."  Shopper Beth Null said, "I have to get my son something yet and my grandson."

Last minute shoppers were thankful to find the gifts they needed Christmas Eve night.

But not everyone is done yet.  And if you're one of those people don't panic your local drugstore can still help you out.

Walgreens Assistant Manager Paul Kovacs said, "A lot of people come in panicked and they're very appreciative that we're open."

Kovacs said they always get a lot of last minute Christmas shoppers.  "97% of people forget that impromptu item."

Kovacs said batteries are the most common item people buy Christmas Eve or Christmas Day.  But they do have a lot of gift items too.

The top 5 gifts you can get at your local drugstore?  Number one: Kovacs said "As seen on TV products" are very popular.  "We have a lot of as seen on TV items that you'll see on television...we have one of the largest selections around." Things like fun loom and flashlight friends.

Number two: gift cards. You can find them for several different places from restaurants to popular stores in the mall.  "We have a lot of last minute gift cards when you have those last minute people you don't know what to get for them," said Kovacs.

Number three: electronics.  Walgreens has everything from phone accessories to speakers.

Number four: fashion.  Yes, fashion at Walgreens.  Kovacs said infinity scarves are popular, so are fleece leggings.

Number five: Kovacs said, "chocolates"  That's very simple, the box is already wrapped and has a bow on it.

If you're still searching for gifts Walgreens is open until midnight Christmas Eve.

And if you need to get some shopping done on Christmas Day here's a look at your options:

Many Walgreens will be open from 8 a.m. until 6 p.m.

Many CVS stores will be open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Not all Starbucks are open on Christmas but the one at Main and Douglas in Mishawaka is open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
