Over 600 people served free Christmas meal

Several hundred people were treated to a free Christmas meal thanks to an annual church meal.

This was the 15th year for the Christmas Day Dinner at the First Presbyterian Church in Goshen.
Just under 700 people were served at the annual dinner, with meals in the dining room or through delivery and take out meals.

Pastor Allen Griffin said, "It really is a blessing and for those of us who are Christians, it's an important part of our faith, a God who calls us to serve others and that's what it's all about."

One of the people who helped put today's dinner together wasn't missing her family's Christmas for the meal, she had four generations of her family helping out at the dinner today.  "I feel very honored that we do this.  I think it's great, it's great for the family.  We'll have our Christmas another time.  Our Christmas is really good today, I really don't think you can top that," said Susie Hooley.

All in all, about 200 people helped out with the annual dinner.  That includes buying food, cooking, serving, cleaning and planning delivery routes.
