Red Wreath Campaign wraps up

Clay Fire wrapped up its Red Wreath Campaign on Wednesday, with some pretty good news.  They only had two fires in their district since the Thanksgiving holiday.  This is the lowest numbers of preventable fires, since the Red Wreath Campaign started five years ago.

Clay Fire Deputy Fire Marshal, Ron Melser said he is happy to see fewer fires this holiday season.  "I am glad that everybody is being more cautious this year, Melser said, "we luckily haven't had many fires this year."

Clay Fire would like to remind everyone, with the cold weather we have been having, make sure to have your chimney inspected before firing it up for the season.  They see many preventable fires each year started from unsafe chimneys.

Clay Fire will be doing the Red Wreath Campaign next year.
