State urging people to stay home, make way for plow trucks

Much of Indiana is dealing with a blast of winter weather. INDOT has deployed 740 trucks and crews to work to clear the roads, but is asking for the public's help.

"As winter weather continues throughout much of the state, we also encourage drivers in affected areas to stay safe by avoiding unnecessary travel and making way for plow trucks and crews on the roads," said Indiana Governor Mike Pence in a statement Thursday.

The state has road conditions accessible online, along with current travel advisories for Indiana counties.
