Wilcox trial moved to April

The trial of a man charged with Arson has been moved to April.

Police believe Wilcox set his former home in the 21000 block of Sandybrook Drive in South Bend on fire, then disappeared, in mid-August of 2013.

Police say Though Wilcox was living in the home, he was not the owner. The owner, Jeffrey Huyvaert, had bought the home in July during a Sheriff's Sale. Huyvaert was letting Wilcox stay there while renovation were being done.

Wilcox's daughter, Stephanie, reportedly came to police with a letter written in her father's handwriting that said, "Your mom built that house and no one else was going to get it.  I hope the new owner had insurance!!!"

Wilcox was later arrested on August 30th at a Michigan casino.

In court Thursday, a judge granted a motion to move his trial to April 28, 2014.
