South Bend residents asked to move cars

South Bend residents who've been putting off digging out their cars need to get their shovels and brushes ready.

Starting Wednesday, the city says it will be enacting their residential snow clearance conditions. There is no parking on East-West streets on Wednesday between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. and no parking on North-South Streets on Thursday between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m.

South Bend Police will start tagging vehicles that have not been moved on Friday.

On Tuesday, January 14, Police and the Street Department will start towing tagged vehicles that have not been moved.

Residents with questions can call 3-1-1 between 7:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
