Son of shooting victim plays in IUSB game, honors mother

An emotional basketball game between Indiana University South Bend and Robert Morris University, Saturday.

There was a moment of silence to honor another victim in the Martin's Shooting, Rachelle Godfread.

Godfread's son, Joe, plays for IUSB and was in uniform for Saturday's game, his teammates were there for support during that moment of silence.

Joe had not practiced with the team over the last two days, but played Saturday.

His older brother, Mike, was also there and tells us why his brother wanted to take the court.

"We both thought it was a good idea. He needed something to do at this time as a reprieve. Basketball has always been a reprieve for us to get away from the world and this is how he would remain strong in this troubled time," says Mike Godfread.

Godfread thanked the community for their support during this difficult time.
