Proposed ordinance at SBN has cab drivers on edge

Possible changes at the South Bend airport have local cab drivers on edge.  The airport is proposing a new ordinance that would require all transportation companies to have a contract with the airport.

The contract would include fees and penalties if there is no contract.  Cab companies say that the airport is overstepping their boundaries.

"If you're a limo company or a taxi company that does not have a contract with the airport, or even a small car service, you lose your right to drop at the airport with this ordinance," says Kerry Clear of Blue Ribbon Taxi.  Airport officials are expected to make a decision on the new ordinance next month.
