The second suspect in the fatal shooting of two convenience store employees in Elkhart pled "guilty but mentally ill" on Thursday.

In September of last year 20-year-old Pawan Singh and 55-year-old Jagstar Bhatti were shot and killed during a robbery at Saleh's Market on Middlebury and Madison Streets.

Two men were arrested for the shooting.  23-year-old Richard Gross pled to two counts of murder in December.  Gross is scheduled to be sentenced in March.

On Thursday 29-year-old Kevin Moore pled guilty to two counts of muder as well.  The plea was given without specific terms.  That means Moore could still be sentenced to up to 130 years in prison for the crimes.

Moore said he had been treated in the past for bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and post-traumatic stress disorder.  The plea does require the court to evaluate and treat Moore's mental illness.  Moore is scheduled to be sentenced in February.
