St. Joe County Police cited one driver for violating the travel ban that had been in place until noon Tuesday.

We're told Sgt. Regis Thimmons stopped a pickup truck just east of Current Road at around 11:00 am Tuesday to "investigate whether or not they were in compliance with the restrictions enacted as a result of the travel ban."

Police say the bed of the truck was full of aluminum carts stolen from Better World Books.

A driver and two passengers were booked on preliminary theft charges.

The driver, Steven Livingston, was also cited for violating the travel ban.  Under an ordinance passed in 2000, drivers can be fined up to $2,500 for "noncompliance of emergency orders."
