South Bend Silver Hawks holds first job fair

Posted:

With all this snow and these bitter cold temperatures, it's hard to believe that baseball season is right around the corner.

But it is! The South Bend Silver Hawks held its first of four job fairs Wednesday.

The team is looking for everything from parking lot attendants, to ticket takers, to concession workers and ushers.

They are looking for people who are 16 and older, who want to have a great time at work.

President of the Silver Hawks, Joe Hart says, "I think for us, the biggest thing is we're looking for people who are energetic, excited, but very customer service oriented.  With everything we do, we have so much interaction with our fan base and at the end of the day, that's what we're about.  We're about the customer experience. "

The season opener is April 8th.

There will be three more job fairs in the weeks ahead.

The other three job fairs will take place on Wednesday, February 4th from 6p.m. - 9p.m. at the Mishawaka High School in the cafeteria, Tuesday, February 12th from 5p.m. - 8p.m. at the Gillespie Center at the Hilton Garden Inn in Parlor A, with the final job fair taking place at Four Winds Field in the Upper Deck on Wednesday, February 18th from 6p.m.-9p.m.
