Keystone XL Pipeline protest held in South Bend

People took to the streets of South Bend Monday to protest the Keystone XL Pipeline.  The group chanted and held signs at the corner of Main and Jefferson.

It was all in response to the Environmental Impact Study on the pipeline released Friday that said there were no major environmental concerns with the project.  The protestors said they completely disagree with that.  "It's a hunger for energy and there are cleaner ways of getting energy.  Wing, solar, biofuel," said Reynaldo Hernandez.

The protestors said there is already a movement in place for the resistance to the pipeline to turn into civil disobedience later if the state department decides to go forward with the pipeline.
