Posted:

The South Bend Community School Corporation has announced the changes it needs to make due to the number of snow days they've needed to use this winter.  Depending on whether or not three pending waivers go through, the last day of school for students will be either June 6 or June 11.

The district has requested waivers for the January 27, 28, and 29 school days that had classes cancelled.  The state has not yet told the district if those days will be approved.  The make-up school days for South Bend Schools are as follows:

  • May 23
  • June 6
  • June 9* (waiver pending)
  • June 10* (waiver pending)
  • June 11* (waiver pending)

The added days shift some other important dates for the school year.  Those changes are:
