UPDATE: Names of St. Joseph County shooting suspect and victim released


St. Joseph County Police have released the names of the suspect and victim in the shooting that happened Thursday night.  They say 18-year-old Timothy Davis of South Bend was shot just before 8:30pm on the 24700 block of Northlea Dr. in western St. Joseph County.

Davis was immediately taken to a local hospital and is currently recovering there.

A suspect is in custody.  Police arrested 18-year-old Trey Lottie on a preliminary charge of criminal recklessness.  Authorities say Lottie is a resident of the home where the shooting happened.

Officials say several witnesses gave conflicting reports about what happened, but they do believe it is an isolated incident and say it was not a random shooting.
