Planned US-31 closures rescheduled

Matt Deitchley with the Indiana Department of Transportation says planned work on US-31 for Wednesday has been delayed indefinitely due to weather and power outages.

The crews that were expected to move utility lines were sent out to restore power following the snow storms overnight.  US-31 was to be closed completely between Kern Road and Jackson Road for periodic intervals from 8:00am to 4:00pm Wednesday.  The closures are part of the same INDOT project that shut down the ramp from northbound US-31 to eastbound US-20 on Tuesday.

Deitchley does not know, at this time, when the work will be rescheduled for.

Both shutdowns are because crews were moving power and phone lines.  You can check road conditions in Indiana whenever you want right here on FOX28.com.
