St. Patrick's day celebration in DTSB

Lots of people where wearing green in Downtown South Bend's Fiddler's Hearth.  Monday was their annual St. Patrick's Day celebration, full of music, food, and fun for all ages.  It was standing room only from the minute they opened their doors at 11:00am.

Fiddler's Hearth's Lady of the House, Carol Meehan says they celebrate the way the people in Ireland celebrate St. Patrick's Day.  "For us it's a celebration of the Patron Saint of Ireland," Meehan said.  "It's traditional to pluck a shamrock from the meadows in the morning and stick it to your shirt before you go to church, and usually everyone ends up down at the local pub."

A local priest came in during the morning to bless the pub before they opened their doors in the morning.
