Person pulled from vehicle fire in Goshen

A man was hospitalized after a vehicle fire in Goshen Wednesday afternoon.  The car fire was quickly put out, but the driver of the car needed to be airlifted from the scene with unknown injuries.

The fire took place on the 500 block of W. Lincoln Ave in the Linway Plaza parking lot, but the cause of the blaze is unknown at this time.  The initial 911 call was placed at 12:11pm from a nearby business.

William J. Tully was identified as the injured party and owner of the car.  He was found in the back seat of the vehicle when authorities arrived and was pulled out while the fire was extinguished.  Because of the injuries he suffered, Tully was airlifted to a hospital in Fort Wayne that has a burn unit.
