Police are looking for an 18-year-old who has been charged with murder in connection to Tuesday night's shooting.

Police say that Shyheem Jones was last known to be a student at Riley High School. Police say that he is considered to be armed and dangerous. If you have any information on where Jones may be, call police immediately.

Around 7pm Tuesday night, police responded to the 1800 block of North Fremont Street. It's at the corner of Marquette Street near Fremont Park and LaSalle Landing Apartments. Metro Homicide says there was a large gathering of people, reportedly making a music video, at the scene. Then a fight broke out, followed by gunfire.

According to court documents, victim Cornell Taylor's girlfriend told police prior to the shooting, a fight had broken out between Taylor and Shyheem. Shyheem lost the fight. He then fired a silver handgun at Taylor and Taylor fell.

Another witness, the suspect's friend,  told police Jones fired his gun three times.

Cornell Taylor was taken to the hospital where he later died.

The other victim, 20-year-old Brilan Williams, was treated and released. Metro Homicide says he is not being cooperative with investigators.

Police couldn't speculate on whether the incident is gang-related.

There is a memorial at the site of the shooting with teddy bears, balloons, and hand-written messages to Taylor.

Anyone with information on this case is asked to call Metro Homicide at 574-235-5009 or Crime Stoppers at 574-288-STOP.
