Snow damaged lawns need treatment

If your lawn was damaged by the harsh winter you're not alone.  Snow mold is prevalent throughout Michiana leaving grass looking bad.  Experts say there are a couple things you can do to help Mother Nature along.

One thing you can do is fluff up the grass with a rake.  "[You've] got to rake that up, or get out with your backpack blower, and kind of fluff it up a little so the air and oxygen can get to the growing point of the plant and it won't die," says Master Gardener Steve Kruse.

Kruse says if that doesn't do the trick you may want to get some mold and fungus treatment from your local lawn care shop.

On Tuesday's FOX28 Morning Show Steve Kruse will talk more about snow mold, the damage it causes, and how you can treat your lawn.
