Three people have been hospitalized after a three-vehicle accident Wednesday afternoon in Marshall County.

The crash happened just before 12:30pm  on the 7000 block of north Michigan Rd. near Plymouth. According to Marshall County Police, the accident happened when a car tried to make a turn into a parking lot.

A semi-truck driver behind the car says they didn't notice it slowing down and rear-ended the vehicle, pushing it into oncoming traffic, where it was hit by another passenger vehicle.

All three drivers were sent to nearby hospitals and MedFlight was requested. The severity of the injuries are not known at this time.
