UPDATE: Victims identified in South Bend triple shooting

Police are still investigating Wednesday night's shooting that left one person dead and two others wounded on the South Bend's northwest side.

Thursday morning, the St. Joseph County Prosecutor's Office identified the man killed as 21-year-old Tyrone Kelly of South Bend. After an autopsy, his death was ruled a homicide as a result of multiple gun shot wounds.

Two other people were shot during the incident.  The Prosecutor's Office says 22-year-old David Cross and 38-year-old Jerry Wright were treated and released from an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The shooting was initially reported at approximately 7:40pm on the 1800 block of North Johnson Street. The entire city block was identified as the crime scene.

As of Thursday afternoon, the Metro Homicide Unit is still interviewing witnesses and has no suspects in custody.

Neighbors we spoke to at the crime scene say they are very worried about the recent violence.  One lady we spoke to said there have been a lot of break-ins recently in the Johnson Street area.

Anyone with information is asked to call Metro Homicide at 235-5009 or Crime
Stoppers at 288-STOP.
