Local restaurant trying to help young girl

A local restaurant is trying to help out a young girl that is handicapped-capped.  Two-and-half-year-old Ella Hunt has Spinal Muscular Atrophy, or SMA. Her disease cripples her body, making it tough to do anything.

Hunt's family is trying to buy a special wheelchair van.  They need to raise $31,000 to get it.

The Fat Tomato restaurant in Elkhart is holding a fundraiser Monday for Hunt.  Proceeds of sales on Monday will go towards the cost of the wheelchair van for the Hunt family.

Chef Bill O'Brien says as soon as he heard about Ella's condition he wanted to help.  O'Brien says as a local business owner it's his responsibility to give back to the community.
