School City of Mishawaka says an employee at Mishawaka High School has been suspended without pay while officials investigate an allegation the employee was having an inappropriate relationship with a Mishawaka High School student.

Dr. Terry Barker says 25-year-old Ryan Mouch was a hall monitor at Mishawaka High School.

The district says the alleged relationship is under investigation by local law enforcement and school officials.

School officials say they can't comment further due to the sensitive nature of the ongoing investigation.

The St. Joseph County Prosecutors Office says Mouch was booked for Sexual Misconduct with a Minor, Vicarious Sexual Gratification, and Solicitation of a Child.

Holy Cross College has since released a statement saying Mouch is a part-time assistant baseball coach. The College has suspended him without pay, pending outcome of the investigation.

According to Holy Cross's website, Mouch is in his first season. He is originally from Toledo.

Before coming to the college, he spent two seasons at Siena Heights University in Michigan.
