Dance Marathon benefits sick kids

It's time for the Saint Mary's College Dance Marathon.

It's the ninth annual marathon. For twelve hours, from noon to midnight, Saturday, there is no sitting or sleeping.

The money raised goes to the Riley Hospital for Children at Indiana University Health.

"It actually goes by a lot quicker than you think and it's a lot more emotional than you think because you hear the stories of the families," says Junior, Anna Sullivan.

Sophomore Katie Morrissette says, "Those 12 hours everything is so worth it because you know that money is going to help the families and it's just such a great feeling."

Last year's event raised over $100,000. They have raised over $500 thousand over nine years.
