Tree falls into Osceola road, nearly smashing car

A mother and kids had quite a shock Friday morning when a tree fell in front of their car in Osceola.  It happened in the 55000 block of Birch around 10:00am.

Emergency responders say the tree came down onto the road, pulling three utility pole with it.  The driver of the car was able to stop and back up in time to only be grazed by the falling tree.  The car suffered some front end damage, but no one was injured.

AEP is on the scene, working to restore power to the area.  Emergency responders say the power line was pulled so hard that it actually tore a meter from one of the homes.
