South Bend man dies after high-speed motorcycle accident

A South Bend man is dead after his motorcycle collided with pickup truck Sunday afternoon.

20 year-old South Bend resident Dominik Kazmierczak was pronounced dead at a nearby hospital after suffering severe injuries at the scene. The crash took place on Sunday afternoon near the intersection of Edison Rd. and Butternut Rd. Witnesses told police that Kazmierczak was traveling westbound on Edison at a high-rate of speed just before he collided with the pickup.

Police believe speed was a factor in the crash but are still investigating the cause. They are asking anyone that witness the accident to call them at 574-235-9611.
