Vigil for toddler killed by stray gunfire

The community continues to grieve a toddler's death.
A prayer vigil was held Thursday night for John Swoveland, Jr.
Dozens of people gathered at Coquillard Park to pray and remember the little boy.
They also talked about ways to end to the violence.
Coquillard Park is where shots were fired during a gang fight.
A stray bullet hit Swoveland as he played outside with his sister 3 blocks away.
Timothy Washington lives across from the park and says,  "The community needs to come together, do something, bring back something the kids can do rather than run wild in the streets."
Washington mentioned sporting events like the Gus Macker Tournament that used to be held.  And he said music events, including an event he's trying to create like "America's Got Talent," might help.
