UPDATE: Teen hit-and-run suspect arraigned in adult court

The St. Joseph County Prosecutor's Office says 17-year-old Joshua Anglemyer was arraigned Monday on charges connected to a fatal hit-and-run accident that killed one person.  The decision was made Friday after a lengthy hearing.

The charges stem from an incident on SR 933 near Auten Road on March 24th.  Authorities say the driver of a truck hit and killed 43-year-old Michael Marks.  Police say the truck driver stopped immediately and no charges are expected to be filed against him in this crash.

Following that crash, authorities say 49-year-old David Fordyce was trying to wave vehicles away from Marks' body when he was hit by another car.  Police say the driver of that car, Joshua Anglemyer, left the scene.

Anglemyer is charged with failure to stop following an accident resulting in death.  That's a Class C Felony.  Anglemyer bonded out of St. Joseph County Jail over the weekend.  His next hearing is scheduled for May 12.
