Kentucky sheriff shoots and kills teen girl

Police In Hebron, Kentucky are trying to reduce the amount of questions that people have, after a deputy shot and killed a teenager leaving a party. They have released the cruiser cam video of Boon County Sheriff's Deputy, Tyler Brockman, during the deadly incident. The video shows Brockman stopping 19 year old, Samantha Ramsey, and her three friends as they try to leave a field party. Then, it shows her stop her car before taking off.

What happens next, out of the camera's view, is what has people asking questions. According to the Sheriff's Department, Ramsey hit Brockman with her car, forcing him on top of the hood. This is when the deputy fired the four shots that took Ramsey's life. After the shots were fired, the car went into reverse and crashed into a ditch. In the video you can see smoke coming from the car and the three passengers getting out of the vehicle in disbelief.

The Sheriff's Department says the incident is still under investigation.Boone County Sheriff's Deputy, Tom Scheben, said "We're about as clear and transparent as a department can be. Here's the obvious. We are releasing this. We don't have to. It's part of an investigation. But, why not? It's not going to hurt anything, and maybe people will see, 'Oh, she did accelerate. Maybe there is more to this story.'"
