One man is in custody after a stabbing early Tuesday morning in South Bend.  Police received the call at 2:30am about a stabbing on the 3500 block of south High St.

They say 18-year-old Justin Clark was taken to the hospital and received stitches after being stabbed by 25-year-old James Hendrix Jr.  Police say Clark told them he was stabbed after an argument broke out at an apartment in the Miami Hills complex both he and Hendrix were visiting and spilled out to the parking lot. After being stabbed Clark told police he punched Hendrix in the face, and that Hendrix fled.

Police arriving on the scene claimed they found Hendrix running around outside the apartment and was "incoherent, intoxicated and uncooperative." South Bend Police arrested Hendrix for felony aggravated battery.
