Two Indiana colleges among 55 being investigated

Two Indiana colleges are being investigated by the U.S. Department of Education over their handling of sexual abuse complaints.  Indiana University-Bloomington and Vincennes University are among 55 across the nation being investigated.

The Department is looking at how they handle sexual abuse complaints.
A federal law regulates schools' handling of sexual violence and it's increasingly being used by victims who say their schools didn't protect them.
An IU spokesman says the federal agency has confirmed there weren't any complaints against them that would have triggered the investigation.    He says IU and the other schools were chosen randomly for a "routine compliance review."
