Apple IOS7 bug making users' information vulnerable

If you hold your Apple iPhone near and dear to your heart, you’re going to want to hear about this one.

According to German security expert, Andreas Kurtz, the latest version of IOS7 is opening up users to the possibility of a hack attack by failing to encrypt email attachments. To prove his finding, he tested the flaw on an iPhone4, iPhone5s, and an iPad2. He says he was able to access email attachments on a locked device, just by plugging it into a computer and using a passcode-bypassing software.

Kurtz reported his findings on his personal blog back on April 23rd, and contacted Apple to tell them about the issue. Reportedly, they told him they were already aware of the problem but didn’t say when the error would be corrected.

Apple did not immediately respond to request for comment.
