Warning to parents: Be aware of marijuana wax

We first reported on a drug bust along the tollway Monday night.    You might remember the picture of an ISP K-9 sitting proudly in front of all the marijuana turned up during the search of a car.     But there was something else found in the car that peaked our curiosity.   Something called marijuana wax.    South Bend Police say it's not a new drug, but they are seeing more of it in Northern Indiana lately.   It's described as a quicker and stronger high than typical marijuana.    But it it's known to catch fire and cause burns during the manufacturing process.   Police want you to be on the lookout.

Phil Trent, of the South Bend Police Department says, "We just feel like it's something that parents need to watch out for because it really doesn't resemble marijuana."
The FOX affiliate in Los Angeles exposed the problem last year, after a doctor sounded the alarm.   He called it an epidemic in Southern California because of the number of burn patients being treated after the manufacturing process went wrong.
